Pentecost Sunday!

Picture

Pentecost! The 9:30 am parishioners on Pentecost Sunday composed a fiery gathering around the Front Sign. The sign declared "Hearts On Fire" as everyone bore their bright colors of reds, oranges, and yellows.

Food Pantry Drive

On Saturday, May 8th, there will be a food drive taking place around town. A cooperative effort between the Post Office and the Girl Scouts will benefit the Whitman Food Pantry. Postal Carriers will hand out bags that may be used for canned goods, boxed cereal, and other such non-persishable items. Residents are then asked to hang the bags of food on their mail boxes, or place near their front doors. Postal Carriers and Girl Scouts will be driving around town on May 8th to collect them and deliver to the Food Pantry. There is a trmendous need, so be as generous as you can. Thank you.

National Day of Prayer

On Thursday, May 6th, at Noon there will be a special service for the 56th Annual "National Day of Prayer". Hosted by the Whitman Ministerial Association, this is a time to come together as a people of Faith topray for the well-being of our country, our communities, and our leaders. This will be held at the Gazebo. The service will be very simple and last about 1/2 hour.

Annual Service Auction

All Saint's conducted our annual Service Auction last Sunday, May 2nd,  after the 9:30 service. Instead of Coffee Hour a pot-luck brunch was held, featuring lots of yummy treats, and a lot of good eats to munch upon.

After a goodly feast our event's organizer Dick called everyone to ready their pencils and their checkbooks. Our Emcee Ann was our Auctioneer and did a wonderful job of inciting people to spend more and more, as our resisent "Scribe" Jack tallied the purchases. Over 50 items brought in more than $1900! Praise God!
